The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey
Seeing a performance at the renowned Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is not just a night out - it's an experience!
Visiting our Main Stage? From your arrival in the charming, historic town of Madison to entering the bucolic "forest" of Drew University, where our Main Stage is located, and sitting down in the
state-of-the-art F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, you'll be glad you came.
And don't forget our fabulous Outdoor Stage venue, the grass-and-stone Greek Theatre, nestled into a hillside on the College of Saint Elizabeth campus in Morris Township. Seating is general admission; the amphitheater opens 30 minutes before the performance. Prior to this, the large lawn surrounding the amphitheater is open-- an ideal spot for picnicking. Audience members may bring their own food and beverages, or purchase snacks and soft drinks on-site. Patrons are encouraged to bring low-backed beach chairs into the amphitheatre.
