On the Outdoor Stage:

The Learned Ladies

By Molière
Translated into English Verse by Richard Wilbur

Directed by Brian B. Crowe
Begins June 18
Run time: Approximately 90 minutes

The Outdoor Stage (on the campus of the College of St. Elizabeth) will ring with laughter as the “It Girls” of the 17th century, who bear a hilarious and uncanny resemblance to the “It Girls” of the 21st century, frolic, flirt, and flaunt in grand style in this silly, fun farce that is perfect for audiences of all ages and especially families with teens!

Is there a stranger house in Christendom
Than mine, where women are as mad as hatters,
And everything is known except what matters?

The Outdoor Stage is located on the campus of the College of St. Elizabeth in Morris Township. Seating is general admission; the amphitheater opens 30 minutes before the performance. Prior to this, the large lawn surrounding the amphitheater is open-- an ideal spot for picnicking. Audience members may bring their own food and beverages, or purchase snacks and soft drinks on-site.  Patrons are encouraged to bring low-backed beach chairs into the amphitheatre.
