SHELLY SABEL (Lighting Designer) is in her first season with the Festival. Broadway
credits: associate lighting designer to Brian MacDevitt for Tom Stoppard's THE
INVENTION OF LOVE and Neil Simon's THE DINNER PARTY. Off-Broadway: scenic and
lighting design for KEEP BANGIN', directed by Savion Glover, starring the bucket
drummers from BRING IN DA NOISE, BRING IN DA FUNK. SPANISH GIRL at Second Stage
Theatre, Erica Scmidt, director; ROMEO AND JULIET, AS YOU LIKE IT, WHITE DEVIL,
DON'T BLINK and ARMS AND THE MAN with Barrington Stage Festival. Other: DEBBIE
DOES DALLAS, workshop production; SAVION GLOVER and TII DI at the 2002 Olympic
Arts Festival and The Egg in Albany, New York; MANHATTAN CASANOVA, starring Mercedes
Reuhl at John Drew Theatre in East Hampton, N.Y.; three seasons with the Hamptons
Shakespeare Festival, including A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, AS YOU LIKE IT and
THE TEMPEST. Shelly received her M.F.A. in design from N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of
the Arts.
