A. BENARD CUMMINGS (Gower/Cerimon) is in his third season with the Festival. Previous
appearances at N.J.S.F. include Ariel in THE TEMPEST and Oberon in A MIDSUMMER
NIGHT'S DREAM. Other regional credits: PILL HILL, FALSE ADMISSIONS and CLEAN at
Hartford Stage; THE BLACK STAR at the Goodman Theatre; SOMEONE WHO'LL WATCH OVER
ME at Actor's Theatre of Louisville; OTHELLO at the Hangar Theatre; FENCES at
Arena Stage and RICHARD III at The Shakespeare Theatre of D.C. In New York he
as appeared in TWO ROOMS at the Signature Theatre Company, I AM A MAN at The Working
Theatre and an African-American adaptation of Chekhov's THE THREE SISTERS at the
Prospect Theatre. Film and television: ONE LIFE TO LIVE, N.Y. UNDERCOVER and the
film RAW NERVE. As a novice playwright, his plays have been produced in Los Angeles,
Chicago, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, St. Louis, New York City and London. Benard
is a graduate of S.M.U. and Yale School of Drama. He is very excited to be working
