CHRISTIAN WIJNBERG (Simonides) is in his first season with the Festival. He has
appeared most recently in New York as Lopakhin in THE CHERRY ORCHARD, Teiresias
in THE PHOENICIAN WOMEN and Prospero in PROSPERO'S ISLAND. He spent the past three
summers with the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, playing the roles of Bottom in
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Moth in LOVE'S LABORS LOST, Benvolio in ROMEO AND JULIET,
Sir Andrew Aguecheek and the Sea Captain in TWELFTH NIGHT and Hortensio in TAMING
OF THE SHREW. He has a B.A. cum laude from Yale and a J.D. cum laude from Boston
University School of Law. He is delighted to be making his debut with the New
Jersey Shakespeare Festival.
