BRIAN B. CROWE (Director) is currently in his seventh season with the Festival.
N.J.S.F. directing credits include last season's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS and the
1999 world premiere of his original script, WONDERLAND *AND WHAT WAS FOUND THERE,
on N.J.S.F.'s Other Stage. The Star-Ledger named WONDERLAND one of the top ten
New Jersey theatre productions of 1999, and named Mr. Crowe "Best Director of
a Drama" as well as one of three "theatre artists to look for in the new millennium."
Mr. Crowe has also directed the Shakespeare LIVE! touring productions of JULIUS
CAESAR, HAMLET, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, TWELFTH NIGHT, MACBETH, ROMEO AND JULIET,
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, OTHELLO and THE TEMPEST as well as seven Shakespeare
Experience in-school residency projects at four different New Jersey middle schools.
Other directing credits include NOISES OFF, the Midwest regional premiere of THE
BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE, PATIENT A (The Human Race Theatre Company); PROUD VOICES
(The Dayton Stories Project, The Dayton Lesbian & Gay Center and The Human Race
Theatre Company); SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN and CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD (Dayton Playhouse);
THE DESTINY OF ME (The Act-Up Theatre Festival); and BENT. Mr. Crowe has also
directed The Human Race educational touring productions of NEVERMORE (his original
piece based on the writings and mysterious death of Edgar Allan Poe), ROMEO &
JULIET, MACBETH, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Mr. Crowe received B.F.A.s in directing
and acting from Wright State University, and was a Fellow at the 2000 International
Salzburg Shakespeare Seminar. Special thanks to Walt, the source of never-ending
