Wendy Barrie-Wilson (Amanda) is in her second season with The Shakespeare Theatre,
previously appearing as Stella in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE under then-artistic
director Paul Barry. THE GLASS MENAGERIE commemorates her 90th play. Broadway
credits: OUR TOWN starring Paul Newman (and P.B.S./Showtime's version of the production)
and ALL MY SONS starring Richard Kiley. Regional: UNCLE VANYA, opposite Hal Holbrook,
at Great Lakes Theatre; Stella in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, opposite Christopher
Walken, at The Williamstown Theatre Festival; Regina in THE LITTLE FOXES at C.A.T.C.O.;
May in FOOL FOR LOVE at Portland Stage; ABE LINCOLN IN ILLINOIS at Indiana Rep
(her great-aunt Elizabeth Risdon played the original with Raymond Massey); THE
LARAMIE PROJECT, RIDE DOWN MT. MORGAN and THE MASTER BUILDER. She has worked with
Denver Theatre Center; Actor's Theatre of Louisville; Huntington Theatre; and
Alabama Shakespeare Festival. In New York: New Dramatists, New York Stage and
Film, Voice and Vision, Women's Project, Century Center, W.P.A. Television: SEIZE
THE DAY on P.B.S.'s American Novel; LAW AND ORDER, LAW AND ORDER: S.V.U., and
various soap operas; and "Mom" for General Foods' coffee commericals in Japan
for several years. She holds a B.F.A. from Denison University and a M.F.A. from
