RICK SORDELET (Fight Director) is in his twelfth season with The Shakespeare Theatre.
Company credits: KING JOHN, THE ILLUSION, PERICLES, HAMLET, TWELFTH NIGHT, ROMEO
AND JULIET, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, MACBETH, OTHELLO, JULIUS CAESAR, AS YOU LIKE IT
and GOOD NIGHT DESDEMONA. Rick is a proud member of the Board of Trustees, supporting
this very special theater and its amazing artistic director. He has 25 Broadway
credits, including Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE LION KING, AIDA and TITANIC?all
national and international productions. Also, URINETOWN; TABOO; CAT ON A HOT TIN
ROOF; TRUE WEST; THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL; and REEFER MADNESS in N.Y.C. and L.A.,
soon to be a major motion picture. Rick will stage the fights for HENRY IV, PARTS
I and II for The Shakespeare Theatre in the Nation's Capital. He was fight director
for the film HAMLET, starring Campbell Scott and Blair Brown, and numerous other
films and television; stunt coordinator for GUIDING LIGHT on C.B.S. and the C.D.-R.O.M.
JEDI KNIGHT for George Lucas. Rick is author of the play BURIED TREASURE, and
is a company member of The Drama Dept. He currently teaches at Yale School of
Drama and the Neighborhood Playhouse. He recently directed MACBETH for the Shakespeare
Theater of St. Louis and GREASE for the New Theater in Kansas City.
