MATTIE ULLRICH (Costume Designer) is in her first season with The Shakespeare
Theatre. She has designed more than 50 plays, operas, films and musicals at Playwrights
Horizons, The New Group, New York Stage and Film, The Juilliard School, Philadelphia
Theater Company, Manhattan Theater Club and The National Shakespeare Company.
Favorite projects include THE WINTER'S TALE directed by Barry Edelstein at the
Classic Stage Company; THE FOURTH SISTER directed by Lisa Peterson at Vineyard;
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at Washington Shakespeare Company; WHAT THE BUTLER SAW
directed by Scott Elliott at The New Group; DON GIOVANNI at Philadelphia Opera
Theater; LA RONDE directed by Joanne Woodward at Williamson Theater Festival;
PRATER VIOLET directed by Will Pomerantz. Mattie was a recipient of The Tyro Award
for Young Designers from Design Entertainment Magazine in October 2000.
