BRIAN J. RUGGABER
(Scenic Designer) is in his second season with the company,
having designed last season's THE GLASS MENAGERIE. Recent
production credits include WILEY AND THE HAIRY MAN at
the Children's Theatre of Charlotte; A LESSON BEFORE DYING
at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst; PRIVATE
LIVES at Steel Beam Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois and
more than 70 other productions throughout the United States.
He is a scenic designer for the University of North Carolina
at Charlotte's department of dance and theatre and regularly
designs for more than a dozen theatre companies in the
Carolinas. Charlotte-area theatre credits: work with Theatre
Charlotte, C.P.C.C. Summer Theatre, Barebones Theatre
Co., Chickspeare and The Davidson Players. Brian previously
designed for New World Theatre, Sleeveless Theatre and
New Century Theatre. Regional credits: Theatre Virginia,
The Richmond Ballet and The Utah Shakespearean Festival.
He has presented at both the National U.S.I.T.T. and regional
S.E.T.C. conferences, and has worked with Barbizon Lighting
to present regional scenic art workshops geared towards
both the high-school educator and student. Brian holds
an M.F.A. in scenic design from the University of Massachusetts
and a B.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. |
