LAURA A. SIMMS (Katharine) is in her first season with The Shakespeare Theatre. She recently appeared as Helen and Athene in THE TROJAN WOMEN, directed by Bonnie J. Monte at the University of South Carolina. Other credits: Portia in JULIUS CAESAR at South Carolina Shakespeare Company, Alais in THE LION IN WINTER at Theater at Lime Kiln, Sagot in PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE and Titania in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at Seaside Repertory Theatre. Laura recently set a world record with the improvisational comedy group SPF7 for the Longest Improv Show Performed by a Single Group, at a record 35 hours. In the fall, Laura will be a first-year M.F.A. acting candidate at the University of California at Irvine.
