In the holiday slot is the Bard's fantastical fable, brimming with improbable events and a cornucopia of colorful characters. Shakespeare pulls out all the stops in this far-fetched adventure, drawing upon the fairytale tradition with a wicked queen, star-crossed lovers and long-lost children - not to mention mistaken identities, swordfights and sleeping potions. The Bard meets The Brothers Grimm in a festive offering sure to entertain audiences of all ages. A series of special "Family Matinee" performances between Christmas and New Year's Eve offer a post-show discussion with the actors.

Directed by Joe Discher - hailed by The Star-Ledger as "one of the finest directors in the state" - who wowed audiences and critics with last season's runaway hit Life of Galileo .

"O, for a horse with wings! Hear'st thou, Pisanio?

He is at Milford-Haven: read, and tell me

How far 'tis thither. If one of mean affairs

May plod it in a week, why may not I

Glide thither in a day? "
