A workshop by
Shakespeare LIVE! is the perfect way to make your students'
learning experience with Shakespeare even more interactive,
informative and fun. Workshops are taught by professional actors
from the Shakespeare LIVE! touring company and the
Theatre's experienced teaching artists. Each can be tailored
to students' grade level, and can be booked either on its own
or in conjunction with a touring performance by Shakespeare
LIVE!

Using text from
a Shakespeare play, students are led through the actor's process
from first reading to performance. This highly interactive
90-minute workshop gives students an opportunity to perform
while learning the basics of deciphering and communicating
Shakespeare's verse.

This exciting workshop
gives students a glimpse of the hard work, special training,
and sharp focus on safety needed to create the illusion of
violence on stage. Members of the Shakespeare LIVE!
company demonstrate a short combat scene, and students discover
how a piece of stage combat is created and rehearsed, and
are given the opportunity to learn basic "hand-to-hand" combat
skills.
