The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has an immediate opening for an experienced First Hand.  Primary responsibility is the supervision of professional and student stitchers, including facilitating the successful completion of fabricated garments, notes from fittings, and maintaining a safe shop environment.  A strong understanding of alterations, garment construction, and tailoring, as well as the ability to break down and explain sewing techniques to sometimes inexperienced stitchers is imperative.  The first hand may also have opportunities for draping and/or craftswork if desired.
