The Acting Lab
Step into The Acting Lab for a firsthand look at how an actor prepares. Over the course of this class, participants will learn the basic tools of acting, including how to dissect language, bring text to life through voice and movement, and apply these tools through performances of small group scenes or individual monologue. Sessions may focus on Shakespeare, Classical text, Modern/Contemporary plays, acting styles, and more!
Designed with beginners in mind, but open to all ages 18+, The Acting Lab is a fun and creative environment designed for participants of all experience and skill levels to come together and play. We hope to see you there!

The Acting Lab: Hamlet
Thursdays, October 22nd through November 12 from 6:00 - 8:00pm
at the Thomas H. Kean Theatre Factory in Florham Park.
In this four-week session, participants will take a closer look at William Shakespeare's Hamlet, from the point of view of an actor. Using Hamlet as the primary source material, students will bring the text to life using a variety of acting-specific voice, movement, and text analysis techniques. The session will culminate in a sharing of small group scenes from the play.
No experience needed.
