A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder
Book and Lyrics by Robert L. Freedman; Music and Lyrics by Steven Lutvak
Based on A Novel by Roy Horniman
Directed by Brian B. Crowe
When low-born Monty Navarro discovers he is eighth in line of the wealthy D’ysquith family, he begins down a hysterically ghoulish path on his way to the earldom. Will his cunning plot be uncovered, or will he be named the ninth Earl of Highhurst? And what about the two charming young women who have the would-be earl in their sights? Who will win his heart? With many twists along the way, the outcome is delightfully uncertain until the curtain falls.
Based on the 1907 novel The Autobiography of a Criminal and Sir Alec Guinness’ 1949 comic film Kind Hearts and Coronets, Gentleman’s Guide is filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs…not to mention a tour-de-force performance as one actor plays all eight members of the ill-fated D’Ysquith family.
